Friday April 30th, Wright Reserve, Quakers Hill Print E-mail

Another very pleasant Friday evening at Quakers Hill a good show of men took the field with gusto. These Friday night games seem to bring out the best skills in the guys. So good in fact that a Mug of the Week could not be decided on. There just wasn’t a big enough mistake to warrant it.

The usual blokes were running well out of the centre with Steve Sheil, Michael Jeffery, Danny Ardu, Brett Arnold and Jim Roche for the Yellow and Steve Marris, Cain Aloumtzis Lui Lister and Justin Peatling for the Blue. John Reece showed how he loves to run forward from the backs and Matt Smith was strong in defence. At the other end JJ was always lurking. Pablo and Tim have developed there marking skills but could not outdo Matt McDonald or Paul Smith, both who seemed to grab everything kicked their way. Nev Rolls also took some nice grabs and John Tweedale and Phil Scandizzo seemed to get plenty of touches. Keith Leggett and Chris Brown were hanging round the wing chasing balls from Dave Seymour or Daryle Roberts. Al Organ had a good game and all the guys came off exhilarated.

Perhaps the only Mug of the Day was not even on the field. Tony could not get the siren working and had to signal the last 2 quarters by whistling.Quakers Hill always looks after us superbly and the game was umpired impressively by our mates Adam and Matt from the Bombers.
