Well it happened again, 42 players and every one of them told me or others that they had a good time. It really was a good game and everybody played well.

It was good to see Tony Nixon turn up and prior to the match Steve Sheil presented Tony with a cap for himself and Blake.  It was a nice touch and went down well with all present.

I cannot believe the commitment by blokes that want to play footy. One guy had to leave at half time and the second had to leave at three quarter time to take his son to a birthday party. I think Dad wanted some fairy bread to tell the truth. Jon Yerbury got off a plane from Los Angeles this morning so he could get to the game. Told me it was his way of getting over jet lag. Jason Toman drove a truck from Brisbane to get to the game and played his usual staunch game at full back with Rowdy running around like a young bloke in the backs, chasing everything that came his way and taking a number of good marks. Rowdy told me he was diving on a ball but I really think it was a bit of belly flop, although he has lost a bit of belly.

Graham Henley played well at full forward and then went into the ruck. Jon St Barry got there on time today and had a great game and Jon Yerbury did everything right, marking, kicking and just general play around the ground. His little brother, who is allegedly a twin, but I do believe that we should call him Danny De Vito, had a good game with a number of kicks and marks to his credit. Sean Riley stuck to Daryl Roberts and denied him a couple of kicks and then the old crafty broke loose and got a few back for himself.

The big unit Quirky got a few kicks as did Chris Fantham and Pablo and I must admit the ball was delivered pretty well to the Forwards on both sides today. We had 4 new players come along today for their first game with us and I am pretty sure they will be back next week for the game, same time, 2pm, same venue, Wrights Reserve, Pye Road, Quakers Hill. All in all it was a very good game and then came the obligatory lies, laughter and a couple of beers after the game and that is what it is about, FOOTY FOR FUN.  You can feel it happening and it is the formation of a great club with a number of the guys bringing their wives and kids to the game, it really is starting to come together as a Club.  Keep up the good work guys.
